With the rapid development of automobile electrification and more and more electronic equipment, EMC is becoming more and more important. How to judge the components of the tested components? EMC performance? What are international standards, regional standards and Chinese standards? In this issue, the author briefly combs the automotive EMC test standard system.
In brief, EMC standard system is divided into four categories: international standards, regional standards, Chinese standards and enterprise standards;
1. International EMC standards
World recognized authoritative standardization organizations include:
1) IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission): There are a number of technical committees, among which EMC is mainly engaged in CISPR (International Special Committee on Radio Interference), TC77 (Technical Committee 77) and other relevant technical committees.
2) ISO (International Organization for Standardization): a non-governmental organization founded in 1947 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. It mainly publishes EMC standards for automobiles.
3) ITU (International Telecommunication Union): intergovernmental organization, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. Any sovereign country of the United Nations can become a member of ITU.
At present, the most commonly used vehicles are the two standard systems of IEC and ISO (IEC standards have been widely used in Europe, the United States, Japan, China and other regions and countries). Relevant systems are as follows:
▲IEC standard automobile EMC related
▲ISO standard automobile EMC related
2. Regional EMC standards
Regional EMC standards usually come from international standards, and the relevant organizations are as follows:
1) CENELEC
The Commission of the European Communities authorized the development of the European Standard EN. The correspondence between many EN reference standards CISPR and IEC is as follows:
EN55 ×××= CISPR standard: EN55011=CISPRPub. 11)
EN6 ××××= IEC standard: EN61000-4-3=IEC61000-4-3Pub. 11)
EN50 ×××= CENELEC example: EN50801)
2) ANSI
3) FCC (Federal Communications Commission)
It mainly formulates civil product standards, mainly including electromagnetic compatibility standards FCCPart15 and FCCPart18.
4) VCCI
Civil organizations, whose standards are consistent with CISPR and IEC.
3. Chinese EMC standards
These standards of EMC in China usually come from international standards, most of which are equivalent or modified IEC (IEC/CISPR, IEC/TC77) and ITU-T proposals. Relevant organizations and standard systems are as follows:
▲China Standards Organization
1) SAC/TC79 (National Radio Interference Standardization Technical Committee)
Organize the formulation, revision and review of national standards, and carry out and review the corresponding work of national standards IEC/CISPR. At present, there are 6 sub-committees and CISPR sub-committees corresponding to each other.
2) SAC/TC114 (National Automobile Standardization Committee)
3) SAC/TC246 (National Technical Committee for Electromagnetic Compatibility Standardization)
Mainly responsible for coordinating the domestic centralized work of IEC/TC77; Promote corresponding work; IEC61000 series related to EMC national standard system, revision work. MIL-STD (American Military Standard): typical MIL-STD – 461x;
4) GB
Basically CISPR and IEC have issued 86 standards (SAC/TC7950, SAC/TC24636);
5) GJB (Chinese Military Standard)
For example, the US military standard is basically GJB151A=MIL-STD-461D;
▲China EMC Automotive Standards
4. Enterprise EMC standards
According to the requirements of international and national standards, different enterprises carry out targeted updates and develop product EMC standards that meet the requirements of their own enterprises. Domestic enterprises usually revise enterprise standards according to national standards.
