EMC the necessity of solving electromagnetic interference

Over the years, electromagnetic compatibility technology has generally shown a trend of rapid evolution, involving various corresponding means and technologies. In general, it is necessary to flexibly select electromagnetic compatibility technologies, including electromagnetic absorption, electromagnetic shielding, system grounding, and filtering technologies. So why do many industries need EMC rectification? Let's take a look at the hazards of electromagnetic interference.

1. Hazards to human health

Due to long-term interference by electromagnetic radiation, once the maximum tolerance of humans is exceeded, corresponding health damage will be caused. At the same time, electromagnetic radiation can also pose serious health risks and threats. This is mainly because radiation energy can directly affect specific human organs or tissues, resulting in prominent non thermal or radiant thermal effects. On this premise, comprehensive prevention and control of potential electromagnetic radiation is aimed at protecting human health and requires more attention.

2. Hazards to electronic systems and equipment

In the field of electromagnetic compatibility, strong electromagnetic interference may damage sensitive electronic devices due to overload. Generally, the reverse breakdown voltage between the emitter and base of a silicon transistor is 2-5V, which decreases as the temperature increases. The peak voltage caused by electromagnetic interference can increase the concentration of certain impurities in the emitter and collector junctions, leading to transistor breakdown or internal short circuits.

3. Hazards to weapons and equipment

Modern radio transmitters and radars can generate powerful electromagnetic radiation fields, causing sensitive electronic detonators to lose control, causing missiles to deviate from flight trajectory, increasing distance errors, leading to unstable operating systems, inaccurate directions, incorrect altitude display, and radar antenna tracking position deviation.

4. Damage to the inherent performance of electronic equipment

Some conductive electromagnetic interference can reduce the operational efficiency of inherent electronic equipment or bring prominent disaster consequences. For example, for various medical specialized devices, such as high-frequency scalpels or microwave electrotherapy devices, if these devices exhibit high-frequency spatial radiation, it is likely to reduce the performance of other devices. In severe cases, if electronic devices are within the same circuit range, some sudden disasters may occur.

From the current situation, in the field of electromagnetic compatibility, electronic devices cannot be separated from all aspects of daily life, so the probability of harm caused by electromagnetic interference is very high. Therefore, the rectification of EMC products cannot be ignored, which can effectively control the electromagnetic interference of products, make products better enter the market, and more importantly, do not cause harm.
