1.Domestic and foreign standardization organizations
Currently, international EMC standards are mainly represented by ISO and IEC standards. The full name of ISO is International Organization for Standardization, which is an internationally renowned standardization organization. The full name of IEC is International Electrotechnical Commission, which is the International Electrotechnical Commission. Currently, ISO does not involve EMC standards for household appliances, and IEC is mainly responsible for the work. In order to better comply with international standards, China has also established corresponding standards and technical committees CISPR and TC77 to formulate and revise national standards in accordance with international standards.
The EMC organizational structure involved in IEC is shown in Figure 1, and the EMC organizational structure involved in the National Standards Committee is shown in Figure 2.

2. Basic standards
Basic standards are the cornerstone of all standards. Generally speaking, other types of standards can only be prepared after the basic standards have formed a framework. They specify the basic conditions and rules for electromagnetic compatibility systems, but do not specify emission limits or anti-interference criteria for products, nor do they involve specific products. They mainly consist of definitions, test instrument calibration methods, and test method standards.
3. General standards
General standards refer to electromagnetic compatibility standards for specific environments (such as living, commercial, and light industrial environments), specifying the products or systems to be used in such environments, as well as the minimum requirements and test methods to be met. If a product or system does not have a corresponding product standard, it is necessary to use general electromagnetic compatibility standards as the basis for testing and judgment.
4 Product standards
For products with a large number and a wide range of uses, relevant product standards will be formulated specifically, and product standards take precedence over general standards.
The summary of electromagnetic compatibility standards for household appliances is shown in Table 1:
